About Registration

Please read the information on this page and then click the yellow button to access our online registration page. Online registration and payment is preferred; however, if you need assistance or have a special request please contact the registrar.

Please note that the start window will allow participation in both the Trail-O and the Sprint.

Registration Dates and Fees
Fees are set on a sliding scale to encourage early entries. Entry fees are set for adults (21 yrs & up on Dec. 31, 2012) and juniors (20 yrs & below on Dec. 31, 2012). Net fees for USOF/COF/IOF members after standard discounts are provided in parentheses.

Payment must be received or postmarked by last date in the deadline window to be eligible for that rate. For example: Early Registration payment must be received by Dec 31; Standard Registration payment must be received by Feb 29; Late registration payment must be received by Mar 31).

Substitution Policy
GAOC understands that competitors, especially schools, may have the need to make a substitution on their registration (e.g. re-assign the registration to someone else). To accommodate this need, GAOC has adopted the following policy for its 2012 U.S. Individual Champs A-Meet:

  • Substitutions may be made free of charge through March 31.
  • Substitutions may be made at a cost of $10/per request from April 1-7.
  • Substitutions may be made at a cost of $25/per request the week of the meet.

Refund Policy
Event registration fees are refundable up to three weeks prior to the event, minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after March 23, 2012. All refund requests must be made in writing and sent via email or mail to the registrar (see below). All refunds will be processed within 30 days after the event. Registrations may be transfered from one registrant to another up until March 23, 2012.

Special Instructions

If you are registering for a family or a team, each competitor will have to be entered one at a time. Once all the competitors are entered, proceed to the checkout where all the waivers can be signed online or printed, and the entries can be paid for.

Please bear in mind that the contact information will be used in the event of a problem or an emergency, so please use the address, phone number and email address that makes the most sense. In the case of a family registration, this might be one point of contact based in the family home. In the case of a school team, this may be the address of the school and the cell phone and email address for the coach or instructor.

Please note that if you use the same contact information over and over again, your web browser will probably remember these values and allow you to enter them by typing in the first character in each, perhaps using the arrow keys to select, then hitting Enter or tab as the case may be. This is very browser and setting dependent, but please give it a try.

Please note that the waiver for each competitor must be signed by that person, whether online or printed and mailed in to the registrar. As always, the waiver for a ward or minor must also be signed by a guardian or parent. If you are a coach who is registering team members you may find it more convenient to forward the email receipt for each student to the parent of that student. Each email will have a link to the waiver that can be signed by the parent and minor student online by clicking on it. Alternatively, you could print the waiver, have the waiver signed by the parent and minor student, retrieve the waiver and then mail it in to the registrar.
